Employees are not machines. They cannot bear long hours of continuous work. They need a break. In fact, even machines break down when not given the proper care and maintenance.
In order to revive their lost energy, employees must be given time to eat and rest. However, there are industries which entail continuous operation. A stoppage of even a single minute would involve great loss. Hence, a much needed break is still utilized by work.
